3 months

Wow, I have sooooo been a bad bad girl at keeping this blog updated with Connor news.  Sigh.  The five of you actually reading this must use a reader service.  So thank you Google Reader.

In my defense, I have always considered this a photo blog, so when my computer crapped itself (motherboard = FRIED) just as Connor turned 3 weeks old and I was too overwhelmed by a) new baby, b) impending move, and c) NEW BABY to get a new computer (much less restore my Lightroom catalogs and import/process the growing backlog of RAW images I've continued taking even in the absence of having a halfway decent way to develop said images) ... I haven't felt like I've had a lot to post.  Oh sure, there's all of the OHMYGODHOLYMILESTONE moments that fill each and every day.  Sure, there are those.  And I suppose I could have been telling you five faithful readers about those.  But really ... I've been sort of hoping that I would magically find time to get a new computer, process the pictures, and write a slew of posts to get us up to date.  Which has clearly happened, right?  Um, no.

Thankfully, we still have a point-and-shoot camera that we've been using to take lots of pictures.  And a lot of them are passable shots, too.  4x6-worthy, at least.  Semi-blurry and somewhat less than sharp, but you know ... snapshots of the MILESTONES and the GROWING and the CUTENESSES!

Connor turned THREE WHOPPING MONTHS OLD last week and we are absolutely amazed at how fast these months have gone.  From the early days of day-night reversal and wondering why the hell we thought having a kid would be a good idea to the magic 10-week switch when Connor went from a fussbudget whineypants to this amazingly alert self-entertaining wonderkid overnight.  He's gotten miles better at being in his car seat but still is not a fan of the stroller and prefers being carried around in the Ergo above just about everything else.  He's zooming his way through clothing sizes, outgrowing 3-month clothes at 5-6 weeks and is now busting at the seams of most of his 6-month stuff (he's 15+ lb and 26 inches, last measured).  His eyes are still a wonderfully deep gray-blue and his hair is still the wispy blond that he had at birth.  He's starting to find his voice and he squaks and coos at everything.  Still not a fan of the pacifier (and yes, we've tried many different kinds) but is FINALLY starting to figure out that he has fingers and if he sticks them in his mouth he can kind of suck on them and it's not Mom's pinky finger but it'll do.  He's loving Peek-a-Boo and his nighttime lullaby, loving diaper changes and all of the silly improvised songs I sing to him while he's airing out on the changing pad (the consistent favorite is "Diap-ey Time!" sung to the tune of the A-team theme song and YES I KNOW THAT I'M A DORK.).  And he's finally independent enough that I have enough time to actually sit down and write a few paragraphs about how incredible he is and how much I love love love love this little guy.
