I just uploaded a bunch of new pictures of Naski and Natasha onto our Flickr account.
Life around the Sinnokrak house has been more interesting lately with all of the cat antics. It's been fun watching them bond. There are still spats and Natasha still gets very easily irritated by Naski's kitten ways, but sometimes the chasing around the house has a very playful air to it, which of course makes us hopeful for the future of their relationship!! And though it may have been a fluke, the other morning Natasha tried to give Naski a face-to-face nuzzle.
Naski's latest quirk is running around the bedroom, rustling with anything that could possibly make noise, and chasing Natasha at 4:30 am. Somehow, a 4 lb cat can sound like a herd of elephants, particularly when you are sound asleep in dreamland and are very rudely awakened. So Nick and I have undertaken the task of thoroughly tiring the little guy out every evening. Between the stuffed mice and chew toys tied to the end of strings and the laser pointer (and when all else fails, we'll even chase him ourselves), we don't give him more than 2 minutes of rest between dinnertime and bedtime. We usually get him tired out by about 9 pm, when he tries to find a quiet place to rest. Do we let him rest? Noooooooo! One of us tracks him down and gets him revved up again. This lasts about 15 minutes usually, and then again he goes upstairs to find a quiet place to rest. Lather, rinse, repeat. If we properly do our job, he sleeps through the night. Natasha was always such a cuddly kitten, we never dealt with the Naski level of rambunctiousness!
In other recent news, we became aunt and uncle for the second time two weeks ago! Nick's youngest brother Chris and his lovely wife Kate brought little Joshua into the world on the 7th, and we're just googly-eyed in love with the wee guy. Sadly, it's not looking likely that we'll come home for the holidays this year (I'm going to be in full thesis-writing mode, and tickets are insanely expensive) so we're not sure when we'll get to see him, but I hope it will be soon!

Man, I've never heard of a cat that wants to play so much! That is too cute :) I love the pictures, he is a beautiful boy.
What a pretty kitty! Your boy is so handsome, and looks to be settling in nicely. Miss you guys. Josh sends his love to his favorite auntie! xoxo
